I went back to the "typical" setting for my machine, as per the manual.... now I think I'm just need practice! the stitches are still wonky (front vs. back) but the thread doesn't seem to snap as often... but I still need lots of help. I also think part of my problem is that I am very impatient.

mlle paradis: oh, yeah, no worries, i'll take a break... starting tomorrow, we'll have a new addition to the family (can't wait to blog about it!!) that I'm sure will distract me from sewing, knitting, working, everything... more tomorrow!!Debi van Zylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16704352460146766332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-813901193345774787.post-59875805155950511992010-12-20T11:55:23.745-08:002010-12-20T11:55:23.745-08:00oh this definitely sounds familiar. hang in there...oh this definitely sounds familiar. hang in there but yeah, you might want to take a break and do something else on xmas day!Mlle Paradishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16611437048393628633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-813901193345774787.post-51521892164655441022010-12-19T16:53:18.128-08:002010-12-19T16:53:18.128-08:00i know how frustrating sewing can be in the beginn...i know how frustrating sewing can be in the beginning! The thread breaking probably means your tension is too tight. If you have your manual you might want to confirm how to adjust that and loosen it one step at a time. Good luck!amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03775158121220545739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-813901193345774787.post-7816202561825979222010-12-18T19:31:26.187-08:002010-12-18T19:31:26.187-08:00I can feel your pain in the last 2 posts... I real...I can feel your pain in the last 2 posts... I really can!! And I'm really trying not to laugh hysterically, because I know it's a serious matter - but it IS a funny story (told so well). I'm sure you'll make amazing strides with your new machine, but remember to surface... I'm sure R will appreciate it! I'm pretty keen to make an apron next year on my sister's old machine - I imagine I'll have a similar tale to tell.helicopter6https://www.blogger.com/profile/13152237737294500185noreply@blogger.com
