I've been busy making type.... still many more letters to come; indeed a whole huge sentence.

I am happy that my keyboard is back in the world of the living. But I can't quite give up the cut-out letters.

Today I am without my camera, and so the scanner will have to do.

Hope you are all are having a lovely weekend. Los Angeles is beautiful right now. I am happy that Spring has arrived.

p.s. that wonderful photo of the bike below is not mine... I saved it once-upon-a-time from the web. Does anyone know this image? I wish I knew where it came from.
I would have said all that that it in cut-out newsprint, but it would taken me forever! copyright gods, please take pity on me :)

Dear Monday,
I know you've got it rough; being the start of the work week probably isn't something you planned on and you probably get a lot crap. Nevertheless, the week has to start somewhere, so I'm sorry it all falls on your shoulders.

Today you've been particularly challenging. I'm just going to come out and say it.

But I'm tired of letting it get to me. So I bought myself flowers. Consider them a peace offering, and maybe next week you could go a little easy on me?

Respectfully yours,

I like making dinner with friends. And even more, I like little hands grabbing the goods right off the counter, fresh out of the oven.

KC is convincing me to think about a cook book. She's a very convincing lady. Beware.

I like what Dunny is up to.

Godzilla on the left, Loch Ness Monster on the right.

Once upon a time, I mentioned that I was working on an exhibition that was opening this Spring. I can safely say it's like no other exhibition I've helped design and execute. For better and worse.

All those tough days of late have been in part due to this exhibition. One can get buried in the minutia of things, and rarely have I had the time to look up and see the big picture: this show, despite its challenges, is going to be materially beautiful. This is just one small part of the show, there are so many other gorgeous parts. I hope I can post more images as we get closer.

Last year, when I did some tests with dyed pieces of muslin and my hands stayed blue for a week, I could see the end result in my head. And while I'm not doing the actual work, thanks to JL and her band of creatives at the Autry, the image I had in my head is becoming real and it's better than I imagined.

All these blue squares, hand-dyed and all unique, are so beautiful up close. This picture, taken with my phone, does absolutely no justice. Please remind me to post better ones.

I love going through ffffound!, clicking on images, then clicking on other similar favorites, and arriving on a nice image after getting utterly lost from my starting place.

This one made me particularly happy.

It's the yellow, for sure.

And that there are chairs. Love chairs.

And the natural wood one is great. Love wood.

Right... so to recap: I just love everything about this image. The end.

Hope you all had a nice Monday.
